At 10 a.m. Nov. 23, the Office of Emergency Management will conduct a test of the emergency alert capability that sends a pop-up message to your work station computer. The alert can easily be acknowledged and dismissed with a key stroke. This feature of our alerting options did not work well when used last month during the earthquake drill, and software updates since then have reportedly fixed the issue.
Join us for Turkey Tuesday, USUAA Thanksgiving Feast, on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 4:30-7 p.m. at the Gorsuch Commons. Celebrating the season of giving by providing a Thanksgiving feast to the UAA community. Open only to UAA students, faculty and staff.

As many of you may know, UAA is in the mid-cycle evaluation period of its seven-year institutional accreditation cycle with the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
A fully furnished house in South Anchorage available from early December 2021 until late July 2022. The house has four rooms. I am renting out two rooms on the first floor. But you will have the full house to yourself except the two rooms wherein I store my furniture. Each floor has a private full bath. Laundry, kitchen, and living rooms. No pets please.
Important information for UAA departments: Copy & Print Center, Recycling, Mailroom, Surplus and Parking will be closing early Wednesday, Nov. 24. No afternoon mail routes. All certified, insured, international mail, as well as all FedEx and UPS, must be to the Mailroom counter by 11 a.m. to be processed and go out the same day. USPS mail will be accepted until 1 p.m.
The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) seeks a dynamic individual to serve as its Accounting & HR Technician, Student Engagement and Inclusion Operations. The Accounting Technician reports to the Director of Rec Sports, but also works closely with Student Union staff, both of which are housed in Student Engagement and Inclusion within Student Affairs at UAA.
