Dr. Melanie Hulbert selected as new vice provost for student success & dean of Honors College

After a successful national search, I am so pleased to announce that Dr. Melanie Hulbert has been selected as the new VPSS and Dean of Honors. She will start her position July 17.

UA Board of Regents approves resolution of appreciation for Bruce Schultz

During its June 3 full-board meeting in Anchorage, the University of Alaska Board of Regents approved a resolution of appreciation for Bruce Schultz, who will be retiring from his position as the University of Alaska Anchorage Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs after a distinguished career in leadership roles spanning three decades.

June 3: Anthropology Thesis Defense

Jay Rapoza will be defending his thesis "Between the Lines: Ground Penetrating Radar and an Archaeological Analysis of the Kapoho Fishpond in Waihee, Maui, Hawaii" on June 3, noon Alaska Time via Zoom.
