COVID home tests at the Consortium Library

UAA Risk Management has once again provided the Consortium Library with home COVID-19 test kits to distribute to students, staff and faculty. The kits include two rapid home tests offering results within 15 minutes. These are best used if you are experiencing symptoms. Please come to the Main Circulation Desk to pick up the test kits for you and your family at your earliest convenience.

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine brings a level of uncertainty to our military community, including active-duty, Reserve, and National Guard members and their family members. We support our students who may be affected by this conflict.

International Arctic Science Committee awards former professor Dalee Dorough 2022 IASC Medal

Former tenured professor of political science Dr. Dalee Sambo Dorough was recently awarded the 2022 International Arctic Science Committee Medal for her long-standing leadership in advocating Indigenous rights, service to Arctic communities and influence in public policy as a political scientist.

Serving those who serve: UAA earns silver status as Military Friendly School

UAA has been recognized for the 14th consecutive year as a Military Friendly School, earning silver for the first time. As one UAA student said, “UAA just has this culture of respect for military service.”

University of Alaska System nears $200 million fundraising goal

The University of Alaska System’s $200 million fundraising goal is within reach, according to a report shared with the University of Alaska Foundation Board of Directors at its March 2 meeting in Juneau. As of December 2021, more than $175 million in private donations have been contributed by alumni, friends, companies and private organizations, including 35 gifts of $1 million or more.
