Nominations for adjunct faculty awards are now open!

Alaska SBDC is looking for a research assistant to provide database clean-up, data completion and light data analysis and assist with creating PDF tools and educational resources. The research assistant must ensure data is captured and classified correctly for reporting purposes and that all materials are kept confidential. Projects will include data entry with the highly confidential federal database of Alaska SBDC small business clients. Other projects may include business and industry research and creating fillable PDF forms.

Make $17 an hour as a learning assistant (LA) in the fall! Support students during class time and work with a professor. Most LAs work 7-10 hours per week, or more hours if you take on multiple classes. We will have openings in mathematics, biology, writing, accounting, statistics, psychology, chemistry, economics and more! Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and be enrolled in 6 credits or more.

The American Society promotes health advances in the circumpolar north. We are part of the International Union for Circumpolar Health, with members in all Arctic nations.

Sober Seawolves, the on campus support group, has moved to a new day and time. Gatherings are now Wednesdays 7-8 p.m. in RH 204 and follow the AA open meeting format. Coffee and tea are provided.

The UAA Center for Community Engagement and Learning (CCEL) has opened a request for proposals (RFP) for the annual Selkregg Community Engagement & Service Learning Award. This $5,000 award supports a UAA faculty member in developing community-based research, creative activity and course-based service learning projects.
