Aluminum bottled water - Seawolf Dining expands environmentally friendly practices on campus
by Green & Gold News |
Seawolf Dining is excited to announce a significant step in our journey toward sustainability: transitioning from single-use plastic water bottles to infinitely recyclable aluminum water bottles. This change reflects Seawolf Dining's commitment to reducing plastic waste and embracing environmentally friendly alternatives. By making this switch, UAA is minimizing its environmental footprint and setting an example for campuses nationwide.
Starting this semester, those on campus will be able to find Dasani water packaged in aluminum bottles on campus at Kaladi Brothers, Café Delgga, Seawolf Marketplace, Avis Sports Center and Alaska Airlines Center. This new initiative ignites Seawolf Dining's end goal of removing single-use plastic on campus. It dovetails on years of committing to only compostable catering and packaging materials in their stores. “Seawolf Dining is dedicated to adopting environmentally sustainable consumer products and practices,” said Trenten Hall, Seawolf Dining Director.
