Faculty Workshop: Teaching Professional Dispositions, Jan. 30

by Green & Gold News  |

Faculty are invited to discover workshop opportunities with UAA's Graduate School. These programs focus on a variety of topics designed with graduate-level educators in mind. Undergraduate faculty are also welcome to attend. A Zoom session will available for those unable to join in person.

Professional dispositions are a set of skills including the attitudes and values guiding a student’s behavior in a professional setting – including the classroom. These skills can be challenging to assess and even harder to teach yet they are critical to a student’s future success. Attendees will join a faculty conversation, hosted by the Graduate School, highlighting a hypothetical student disposition problem and apply a sample dispositions rubric to address and ameliorate the difficulties.
