Important Update for Third Party Email Services

Beginning in February, Google and Yahoo will begin requiring organizations that send more than 5000 emails a day to Google or Yahoo email addresses to perform additional configuration for those emails to ensure mail continues to be delivered to @alaska.edu email accounts.

Hiring Interns Interested in Machine Learning and AI

The College of Engineering and College of Business and Public Policy is hiring interns for the spring and summer semesters. This internship offers opportunities to gain hands-on experience: testing scientific hypotheses using data acquired from drones and processed with machine learning, learning techniques in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, geospatial science, natural resources, and image processing and developing software systems.

Scholarships available for Integrated Pest Management Class

Free for 10 students! This class will help gardeners learn the principles of Integrated Pest Management, an approach to managing insects, disease, and other garden “pests” through structural, biological, mechanical, and chemical practices. The aim of IPM is to protect ecosystem health, including our own, by making wise choices for pest management and control.

Kaltura Announcement

Kaltura changes are happening on December 21, which will upgrade the LMS integrations for Bb Learn and Canvas as well as upgrade the player to the V7 player. The integration updates provide more robust security.
