11th Annual AKNS Undergraduate Research Symposium

Undergraduate students will present on a variety of topics that reflect the Alaska Native Studies curriculum and focus. Topics range from Indigenous math systems, art as healing practices, and Alaska Native languages.

Community Engaged Faculty Minigrant applications open

CCEL faculty minigrant applications for Spring 2024 are open! This funding is available to full-time faculty for activities that develop partnerships in the community that address public issues.

UAA alumna and associate professor Holly Martinson hopes the new Biomed U-RISE program "lights a fire" in Alaska's research community by empowering undergraduate students with lab experience, mentorship and financial assistance. Martinson and co-PI, Professor Tracey Burke, welcomed the first cohort this academic year and will soon open applications for cohort two.
