2023-2024 Housing Rates
Residence Life Housing Scholarship: In light of the economic impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on students, Residence Life offered a $1000 per semester scholarship to offset housing costs for the 2022-2023 academic year (fall and spring semesters). This scholarship will be extended through the 2023-24 academic year and will be applied to students' accounts along with housing charges once room assignments are finalized in July (no additional application for the scholarship is necessary). UA Scholars and students in the University Honors College are also eligible for an Academic Honors Housing Scholarship which can be applied along with the Residence Life Scholarship. More Information about Rates
- A $25 per semester Residence Hall Association Programming Fee will be applied with each assignment. This fee will help support programming for residential students.
- Apartments are typically reserved for students who have lived on campus at least one year or are 21 years of age or older.
- All students living in the residence halls are required to have a meal plan. Apartment residents are not required to purchase a meal plan; however participating in one of these plans can be more convenient than grocery shopping and kitchen clean up!

Application Fees and Deposit
All students must pay an application fee and deposit at the time they apply for housing. Please see the How to Apply page for instructions on completing the Housing Application on UAOnline.

Students must uphold the terms of the Housing Agreement in order for the deposit to be refunded.
2023 Summer Housing Rate
$2,875 for both summer sessions. Rate will be prorated accordingly for students staying for only one session. Note: student housing is consolidated to the MAC apartments during the summer.

Payment Methods
It's all about convenience!
An application fee and refundable deposit are due at the time of application and can be paid with a debit or credit card as part of the online application. All other housing and dining fees will be assessed to your UAA student account prior to the start of each academic semester and should be paid along with tuition and other UAA fees by the UAA payment deadline for each semester. Students must keep their accounts with the University of Alaska in good standing in order to live in on-campus housing.

All rates for the 2022-23 Academic Year are effective as of January 1, 2022 and are subject to change. Rates are listed per semester. Students can apply for housing anytime during the year and rates will be prorated depending on the actual move-in date.
