Summer Housing
UAA Student Summer Housing
UAA Residence Life provides a limited number of spaces in the MAC Apartments for students over the summer.
- Students new to campus housing who are interested in moving in during the summer can complete a New Student Housing Application on their Housing Page on UAOnline starting in early March (an application fee and deposit are required). Students new to campus housing in the summer are required to be registered in at least three credits over the course of the summer, or be a student employee of Residence Life or Campus Services.
- Residents already living on campus during the spring semester can complete a Summer Housing Application for Current Spring Residents in early March. A separate deposit is not required, and students who apply prior to April 15 are not required to pay a summer application fee. Spring residents who have renewed their Housing Agreements for the next academic year and are registered in fall courses do not need to be registered for summer classes to continue their stay in campus housing over the summer.

How to Apply for Student Housing
Summer Guest Housing
While summer student housing for students attending 5- or 10-week summer session courses is consolidated in the MAC apartments, other areas of campus housing are available for rental by non-students (conference guests, summer interns, non-student staff, visitors to Alaska, etc) or students with short-term rotations outside of the regular summer session course schedule. These opportunities are managed by UAA's Event Services and Guest Housing Office.
Summer 2024 Housing Rates for Students
$2,875 for both summer sessions. Rates are prorated accordingly for students staying for only one five-week session.
Note: A $60 non-refundable application fee and $300 refundable reservation/damage deposit is required at the time of application for all new students applying to move in during the summer. All other housing charges will be applied to student accounts.
