Apply for Aid
1. Complete the Applications
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) is the key to financial aid at UAA. The FAFSA determines your eligibility for federal grants, loans, and work study; state grants and scholarships; and some UAA scholarships. Even if you do not think you’ll qualify for need-based federal aid programs, UAA and the State of Alaska use FAFSA data to help select recipients for various grants and scholarships.
2. Check Your Aid Status
The Office of Financial Aid may require further documentation from you before your aid package can be awarded. Learn how to track your financial aid status, where to look for important messages, and how to submit further documentation.
3. Accept & Receive Your Aid
Once you’ve completed your application and any follow-up documentation, you’ll receive an award offer from UAA. Your aid package may include a variety of different financial aid options, some which you’ll need to officially accept. Some financial aid options include completing further steps before aid is disbursed.
