Major Field Test is Required For Graduation

The Major Field Test is a measurement of student learning outcomes in the specified discipline. Tests offered at UAA are in three disciplines Biology, Computer Science and Physics. Students take the test during their final semester of study, after they successfully complete most of their required major courses. The test format will be computer based and multiple choice.

When can I take the exam?

The test can be taken anytime the testing center is open. Schedule an appointment online. 

How much does it cost?

The cost of the test is covered by the major department.

When do I receive a score report?

At the end of the test candidates will be able to view and print a copy of the scores immediately. Copies of the report will be sent to the Registrar and to the major department.
