Though not a requirement, the department recommends that students take MUS 156 (Functional Piano) to help them prepare for the Piano Proficiency Exam.
Eight semesters of ‘Major Ensemble’ are required. All BM music majors may take up to two semesters (four credits) of an ensemble outside of the one designated for their major to fulfill their ‘Major Ensemble’ requirement.
*Fulfills the Tier III (Integrative Capstone) GER requirement.
