map of 17 communitiesThe University of Alaska seeks healthcare provider input surrounding lifespan violence and will be traveling to 17 different communities across Alaska to gain insight. Building community capacity to respond to violence is especially important for small communities with limited resources. Your engagement is valued for UAA to help understand the needs of your community that will influence UAA healthcare personnel training.

Why:

Increase awareness of UAA’s generalist forensic training program using module-based, conceptual learning programing tailored to meet healthcare providers’ needs. This blended learning program incorporates theoretical knowledge with skill competencies to ensure that healthcare personnel are confident in their knowledge and practical application of forensic skills.

Description:

Followed by Dr. Trujillo’s presentation, Dr. Kathi Trawver, UAA Professor of Social Work, will conduct a listen and learn session.
