Gloria Burnett
Biography
Gloria holds a Master of Science in Instruction, Bachelor of Art in Psychology and Instructional Technology Specialist Certification. She has been Director of Alaska’s AHEC Program for over 9 years. Prior to her current role, Gloria served as the Founder and Director of the Northwest AHEC in Utqiagvik for 3 years before transitioning to the Dean of Students position, both at Ilisagvik College. She has a keen understanding of healthcare and education in rural Alaska and she places great value on community involvement in programming. Gloria has experience as principal investigator of a wide array of grants and has been involved in all aspects of the grant process including proposal writing, budgeting, administration, reporting, and evaluation. Gloria has extensive experience managing Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grants and sub-awards over the course of the past 9 years. She has also managed a variety of contracts for specific continuing education, curriculum development, and other related projects during this same time frame.
