Biography

Lynda joined the AHEC team in July 2023.  Lynda is a lifelong Alaskan completing her undergraduate education at UAA and her Master’s degree through Creighton University. Lynda worked in academic advising for nearly 17 years, most recently working for the College of Health at UAA as Director of Advising.  Lynda started her career in pathway programs for youth interested in health careers and continues to be a passionate champion for the success of health programs students. Outside of work, Lynda enjoys travel and visiting new places as well as cooking and baking.

  • Oversight of Alaska AHEC Scholars Program
  • Oversight of Health Careers Outreach
  • Pathways and Pipeline Programming
  • Coordination with regional AHEC Centers and other stakeholders to develop partnerships for statewide healthcare workforce development
